The mayor of South Orange is reaching out to other local officials Tuesday to try and encourage state legislators to put pressure on the Board of Public Utilities to put its investigative findings into actions.

Borough administrator James Lampmann said Butler Power & Light as well as other smaller municipal utilities like Madison Electric Utility outperformed larger power companies such as Jersey Central Power & Light during Hurricane Sandy due in part to comprehensive training and employee familiarity with the municipal power grid.
